GEMINI MAN MOVIE REVIEW
Gemini Man is directed by Ang Lee and stars Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong. The plot of the movie is an over-the-hill hitman faces off against a younger clone of himself. This is an awful movie one of the worst scripts of the year for a big-budget Hollywood film. This script has been tossed around for a long time at one point Mel Gibson was attached another time Cint Eastwood was. A lot of people have tried to make this movie, but the technology was not where they needed it to be. The movie is credited by a lot of screenwriters more than likely because many rewrites have taken place. A lot of time exposition is something that is pinpointed as a problem with screenplays, but every screenplay needs some to set things up. The shit in this movie is so mind-numbingly stupid there is an entire scene in which Mary Elizabeth Winstead has to tell older Will Smith that younger Will Smith is definitely him, and she repeats he is you, no he is you, no his DNA is a direct match with you you don't understand he is you at least 20 fucking times. This film is so damn slow the scenes leading up to him discovering his younger self are boring. Most of the actors in this film seem like they were not interested in the material. The de-aging technology is perfect most of those scenes are in the dark there are some sequences in an underground sewer system and those looked fantastic. The action in the movie is at times enjoyable there is a great motorcycle chase. 1 out of 5 stars for Gemini Man. I hope you enjoyed my review.
