JUDY MOVIE REVIEW

Judy is directed by Rupert Goold and stars Renee Zellweger, Finn Wittrock, Jessie Buckley, Rufus Sewell, and Michael Gambon. The movie is about legendary performer Judy Garland as she arrives in London in the winter of 1968 to perform a series of sold-out concerts. I am a fan of Judy Garland, so I was looking forward to this movie and I ended up thinking that it was just decent.    Renee Zellweger is fantastic. Her singing voice is amazing. My favorite scenes were between her and her kids. At times the movie will flashback to Young Judy, and she is played by Darci Shaw she is not in the movie that much, but I was enjoying the flashbacks a lot more than I was the stuff with adult Judy.   The supporting cast in the movie are not that great and the movie does drag at times because of them. I wish the movie had more flashbacks since the times it did were my favorite parts of the film. Also, the movie ends very abruptly.  3 out of 5 stars for Judy. I hope you enjoyed my review.
