CRAWL MOVIE REVIEW
Crawl is directed by Alexandre Aja and stars Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper. The plot of the movie is a young woman while attempting to save her father during a category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooding house and must fight for her life against alligators. I knew nothing about this movie going into it. It is not going to end up being one of my favorite movies of the year, but I did enjoy most of it. The acting isn't that great, but Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper's characters are so likable that I can forgive that. The film moves at a nice pace it is only 90 minutes long and not a single minute feels wasted. The movie builds tension very well. The time element of the water rising makes the family have to go from floor to floor and every time the water rises the alligators have access to a new part of the house. The film does have some jump scares that are very easy to see coming. The entire film is pretty predictable as well. 3 out of 5 stars for Crawl. I hope you enjoyed my review.
