THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2 MOVIE REVIEW
The Secret Life of Pets 2 is directed by Chris Renaud and stars Patton Oswalt, Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Tiffany Haddish, Lake Bell, Nick Kroll, Dana Carvey, Ellie Kemper, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan, and Harrison Ford. The movie is continuing the story of Max and his pet friends, following their secret lives after their owners leave them for work or school each day. I did not like the first movie and the only reason I saw this one was because it was the first time Harrison Ford voiced a character in an animated movie. I thought that the animation has gotten better it's definitely not the prettiest animation out there, but I wasn't bothered by it. My favorite part of this movie was when Max goes to this farm in the countryside with his family and he meets a dog named Rooster voiced by Harrison Ford. Harrison Ford, I thought might sleepwalk through this voice role, but you could tell he was having a lot of fun. A lot of the stuff that comes out of this character's mouth was really funny. I also loved everything that happened in those scenes not only was it really funny, but it also taught Max to be a braver dog and that could have been a cheesy storyline, but the way they handled it was effective. The majority of this movie I fell is just designed to babysit children there is a lot of dumb slapstick comedy. It felt like they did not have enough material to make a feature-length movie. This movie is only 1 hour and 26 minutes and you can feel that the people behind the scenes just didn't have enough meat to the storylines that they had in this movie, and they wrapped it up really fast and then the movie just ends. It feels more like a TV episode there are three different stories going on all of which are very brief. Each of these characters has their own adventure and then eventually these storylines intersect for the climax of the movie, but all of this happened so fast. 1 out of 5 stars for The Secret Life of Pets 2. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
