HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE MOVIE REVIEW
With Fantastic Beast: The Crimes of Grindelwald coming out soon now is the perfect time for me to review all the Harry Potter movies plus Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. The Harry Potter book series had a big impact on people and it was inevitable that they would become movies. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone was directed by Chris Columbus and he did a wonderful job. The score was composed beautifully by John Williams. They cast Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter. Having seen all the movies we know what an excellent choice that was, but even in Sorcerer's Stone he gave a really good performance. Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley Emma Watson as Hermione Granger these three characters and these three actors are one of the biggest reasons these films were so successful. In Sorcerer's Stone, we got to see these three characters come together and it's really a joy to see every time I rewatch this film. They did such a great job casting this entire film especially Alan Rickman as Professor Snape. You get this feeling of dark slimy intensity he pulled that part off so well. As soon as you meet the character Draco Malfoy played by Tom Felton you realize how much of an ass he is you just want to slap him. Hogwarts it made me want to be a wizard. It seemed like the greatest school you could go to learning all these spells and playing Quidditch. The film sets up this world extremely well and gets you excited to see more. My favorite parts of this movie are the sequences that are just touching darkness that feel like they are hinting at the future, for example, the forbidden forest scene and all the stuff at the end where they are trying to get the Sorcerer's Stone. This is a heartwarming fantasy film that families can enjoy. 5 out of 5 stars for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I hope you enjoyed my review.
