MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE MOVIE REVIEW
Maze Runner: The Death Cure is directed by Wes Ball and stars Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen, Walton Goggins, Ki Hong Lee, Barry Pepper, Will Poulter, and Patricia Clarkson. The plot of the movie is young hero Thomas embarks on a mission to find a cure for a deadly disease known as the "Flare". With Death Cure, Dylan O'Brien continues to impress me. I would love to see him in an amazing movie, unfortunately, this series has just been fine and with this concluding chapter, it continues to be just fine. It is a well-directed film with some great action. My problem is that it takes a long time to tell what I feel is a very simple story. The movie is not actually about the cure that's certainly impotent to the story. This cooperation is trying to find a cure for a virus that turns people into zombies. It comes off as more of a subplot with the main storyline being Thomas and his friends looking for their friend who has been imprisoned. Thankfully there are a lot of well-directed action scenes along the way and some good performances to make me feel somewhat interested. For the final film in the series, it didn't feel as climactic as I would have liked it too. You can tell that there was a lot of effort put into not just this film, but the whole trilogy, but it's unfortunate that none of the movies are that memorable. 2 out of 5 stars for Maze Runner: The Death Cure. I hope you enjoyed my review.
