DUNKIRK MOVIE REVIEW
Dunkirk is directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, and Tom Hardy. The plot of the movie is allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, and France are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II. The things I liked about this movie are it looks amazing as do all Christopher Nolan films. There are some pretty intense scenes. It does make you feel like you are there. As much as this movie was visually amazing, I was not a huge fan of it. The movie doesn't really have characters it has people in a dangerous situation. I can not tell you the name of anyone. They do mention character names, but I forgot them as soon as they were said. There isn't a lot of dialogue in the movie and that is an interesting direction to take a movie. If you had more dialogue they could have developed these character and given me a reason to give a shit. I do give a shit about this true situation, however, it is in a movie so you need characters to care about and you are never given that. I was excited about this movie because it was directed by Christopher Nolan he has made a lot of movies that I really enjoy. This is one that I will forget as soon as I am done with this review. 2 out of 5 stars for Dunkirk. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
