TRANSFORMERS MOVIE REVIEW
Transformers is directed by Michael Bay and stars Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Anderson, Megan Fox, Rachael Taylor, John Turturro, and John Voight. The plot of the movie is an ancient struggle between two cybertronian races, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, comes to Earth, with a clue to the ultimate power held by a teenager. I have been hearing for years that these Transformers movies suck, however, I found this first movie to be a lot of fun I'll start with what I liked about the film. I liked the acting. Shia LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky is very likable, the character is well developed and he has great chemistry with the other actors. Megan Fox plays Mikaela Banes Sam's love interest. Megan Fox isn't one of the greatest actresses in the world, but she gives a decent performance and works well with Shia LaBeouf. John Voight does a terrific job as the Secretary of Defense and he was actually involved in some of the action in the movie. Anthony Anderson adds some much-needed comic relief to the movie. The action was fantastic. I do have one problem with the movie and that is at times the camera work is so bad you can't tell what is going on and unfortunately a lot of what happens during the final action sequence. I couldn't tell who was transforming or who was fighting who. It never gets so bad that it completely ruins the movie, but I hope the camera work in the squeals improves. 4 out of 5 stars for Transformers. I hope you enjoyed my review.
