THE SPACE BETWEEN US MOVIE REVIEW
The space between us is directed by Peter Chelsom and stars Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Carla Gugino, and Britt Robertson. The plot of the movie is the first human born on Mars travels to Earth for the first time, experiencing the wonders of the planet through fresh eyes. He embarks on an adventure with a street-smart girl to discover how he came to be. I was looking forward to this movie until I started hearing about all the production issues. Last year this movie was supposed to come out at 2 or 3 different times. After finally seeing the movie I understand why this movie kept getting pushed back and got so many negative reviews this movie is boring. The only positive things about this movie are all the actors do the best they can with what they are given and the movie does get a bit better once Gardner played by Asa Butterfield and Tulsa played by Britt Robertson Meet up. The first hour of this movie is following Gardner's life on Mars and that part is painfully slow and full of really bad dialogue I almost fall asleep the only parts that kept me from falling asleep were when Gardner was talking with Tulsa online. When Gardner does get to Earth and meets Tulsa the film picks up a little, there are some nice moments between the two of them, but there is also more bad dialogue and a lot of cheesy moments. They do try a throw in a twist, but it is so predictable. So this is probably my shortest review yet, but I really don't want to think about this movie anymore. 1 out of 5 stars for The Space between us. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
