MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE-GHOST PROTOCOL MOVIE REVIEW

Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol is directed by Brad Bird and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Paula Patton. The plot of the movie is The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear the organization's name.    This movie was directed by Brad Bird who at the time had never directed a live-action movie before. He did a fantastic with this film for the most part.  The cinematography is gorgeous in this movie. The action scenes are filmed beautifully and thankful there was no shaky-cam this time. There are stunning wide shots of amazing stunt work.  This movie brings back the minor character Benjy played by Simon Pegg from the last movie and they fleshed out his role to have a bigger part in this film. He added so much humor to the film and he worked well with Tom Cruise. They also added Paula Patton and gave her a very good backstory and another great character. Another addition to the cast was Jeremy Renner he also has an interesting backstory that has direct connections to Ethan Hunt.   Something else I loved about this movie was this is the first movie where their spy gadgets don't always work which adds to the tension.    My problems with this film are for the first 30 minutes there are some pacing problems it never got to the point where I was bored. Also, they made the really stupid decision to only have Ving Rhames pop up in a brief cameo. I don't understand why he wasn't in the movie more he is always one of the best parts of these movies.     After that first 30 minutes, the movie is amazing.  The scene where Ethan Hunt is climbing the building is extremely tense and my favorite scene in the series so far.    4 out of 5 stars for Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
