GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 MOVIE REVIEW

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper and Kurt Russell.  Set to the backdrop of Awesome Mix Vol. 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage. I really enjoyed the first Guardians of the Galaxy as did most people so I was excited for this movie.    Before I get to what I didn't like and there is a lot I'll go into the few things I did like. The returning cast is still great and the characters are just as enjoyable as before. Also, the movie has some good looking action I thought Kurt Russell was a good addition to the cast. Seeing him and Star-Lord bond was a good arc in the movie.    Now let's get to why I found this movie to be disappointing. The movie from the start seems disjointed they're all hanging out with Kurt Russell and then there's this jailbreak scenario all the other Guardians are jailed and Star-Lord is hanging out with Kurt Russell.  They put in this race of gold people and they come in and out of the movie at various times they didn't really fit in the movie. Drax didn't do much Gamora did a little more than Drax did because of her sister Nebula. The scenes between Gamora and Nebula are nice scenes, however, they are times when Karen Gillan is so intense and over-the-top.    In the end Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 had enjoyment in it Baby Groot was cute. Rocket had some great moments. I enjoyed the humor. It did feel like this movie was rushed maybe James Gunn was burned out and just wanted to get this over with. I will most likely never watch this movie again.    2 out of 5 stars for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see this movie or not.
